COS Awards Fourth SEMS Certificate to H&P Offshore LLC

The Center for Offshore Safety (COS) has awarded a Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) Certificate to H&P Offshore LLC, marking the fourth time that H&P has earned this recognition.

SEMS Certificates are awarded to organizations that undergo an independent SEMS audit by a COS-accredited Audit Service Provider (ASP) and complete all improvement actions identified during the audit process.

“H&P’s dedication to safe and environmentally responsible operations in the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf is demonstrated through this Certificate, as well as their long-term and ongoing participation and support of COS,” said Russell Holmes, COS Senior Director.

H&P Offshore LLC continues to lead by example in the offshore drilling space, upholding high standards even when not required by regulation.

“As a drilling rig contractor, H&P voluntarily having their SEMS audited and their improvement actions verified is further evidence of their deep commitment to safety and environmental stewardship,” Russell said.

The certificate was jointly awarded by COS and DNV Business Assurance, which conducted the audit and verified the completion of H&P’s improvement actions.
